In-person deals
An in-person deal is a trade you close at a table. TrueVouch records what the two of you agreed, both of you confirm how it went, and the outcome becomes reputation that travels.
How do I start a deal?
From the other trader’s profile. Read their record, press Start a deal under their name, and the deal terms open with their name already on them. A deal is a promise to somebody, so it always begins on that person’s page. Running a live deal is a Pro feature; recording a deal that already happened is free.
What goes in the deal terms?
How the trade happens (in person or online) and what each side brings: items in your own words, and money as a number in US dollars, either or both, on either side. At least one thing has to be in the terms.
When is a deal official?
Nothing is agreed until the other side accepts the deal. Once they do, the deal is Agreed and neither of you can change the terms. That is the point the record starts treating it as a real trade.
Can I change or turn down a deal before agreeing?
Yes, and nothing is on anyone’s record until both of you accept. If you receive a deal, you can accept it as written or decline it, optionally saying what should change. If you sent it, you can change the terms (new terms need a fresh yes) or cancel it.
A declined or canceled deal closes quietly and touches no record.
How do I close an in-person deal?
Meet, look at what you are getting, hand things over, then each of you confirms in the app. Because you settled the details face to face, an in-person close asks just one question about the other person: did the trade go as agreed, yes or no.
Does the other person have to confirm too?
Yes. The deal completes only when both of you have confirmed. Your answer is about their side of the trade, and it is recorded once: it cannot be changed later.
When does my score change?
Not the instant you confirm. A completed deal shows on your record right away, and it is folded into your score at the next scheduled update rather than the moment you tap confirm.
