How does an online deal start?

The same way as any deal: from the other trader’s profile, press Start a deal, and write the terms (items in your own words, money in US dollars). It becomes Agreed once the other side accepts, from then on the terms can’t change, and then shipping can happen.

Can the deal be changed or turned down before we agree?

Yes. Until both of you accept, nothing is on either record. The person who receives the deal can accept it or decline it, optionally noting what should change; the person who sent it can change the terms (new terms need a fresh yes) or cancel it.

A declined or canceled deal closes quietly and leaves no mark on anyone.

How do I close an online deal?

In two halves, whenever each half is done. When the other side’s part of the trade has reached you, you record how it went. You answer only about what they promised you, never about your own side.

What am I asked when I confirm?

It depends on what was promised to you. If you were promised items, two questions: was it as described, and did it ship and arrive in reasonable time. If you were promised money, one: did the payment arrive in full. Promised both, and you answer all three.

What if the other person never confirms?

A deal does not hang open forever, and silence does not quietly become a bad mark. There is a window to answer a request to call a deal off, and an untouched deal eventually expires on its own.

What happens if I answer no?

A no is allowed, and it is structured. The public record holds only which question was answered no, never a free-text review on anyone’s page.

When a no completes a deal, you can privately tell TrueVouch staff what happened. That note never appears publicly, and you can skip it.

When does my score change?

Scores update on a schedule, not the moment you confirm. The completed deal joins your record right away and moves the number at the next update.
